I have recently discovered that Meg Funk, the Benedictine author of the well known books Thoughts Matter, Tools Matter and Humility Matters, has a blog. Well, it isn’t geared to comments or discussions, so perhaps it’s not a blog in the strict sense, but it does provide regular reflections that may well be of value to some readers. Recent posts include topics like the Jesus Prayer, the Cell, Lectio Divina and the Manifestation of Thoughts.

I must confess that I haven’t read any of Sister Meg’s books (we don’t have them in our library and although I’ve thought of suggesting acquiring them, there have somehow always been other things that have seemed more urgent) but she is fairly well known for making the wisdom of the ancient monastic tradition (especially the teaching of John Cassian, if I remember correctly) accessible for today’s readers.
